ARE YOU DOG-FRIENDLY?
Of course! It is half the reason we exist! Our life goals are: 1. Pet dogs 2. Drink beer 3. Repeat (1 and 2 can be in any order, or simultaneously is the best!) We are very small though, so please be considerate of drinking adults and aware of how your furry friend handles small spaces with strangers and/or strange dogs! If you pups are unruly, aggressive, loud, or present a hindrance/danger to other guests we will have to ask you to remove them and we would rather not have to do that.
WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU??!! HOW THE HECK DO WE FIND YOU??!!
Our location is a bit awkward. Our address is 321 9th Street. Right next to the entrance to Waterfront Park's beach parking. We are in the basement of the LOGE hotel building.To reach us, follow the 9th Street sidewalk down towards the entrance to Waterfront Park, and look for our sandwich board on the sidewalk with arrows directing you to our alley entrance door. Pay no mind to the “LOGE After Hours Access” sign on the door and don’t worry about the keypad; during brewery hours this door is automatically unlocked. Just head inside and then down the stairs, then straight forward and our tasting room is the last door on the left!
ARE YOU KID-FRIENDLY?
We are indeed! Though we are very small so please be considerate of drinking adults. We try to keep some sodas and snacks like chips/popcorn available.
DO YOU SERVE FOOD?
Afraid not. Just some snacks like chips/popcorn/jerky/sodas. You are more than welcome to bring your own food in, and there are a couple pizzerias that might deliver.
DO YOU HAVE WINE, CIDER, LIQUOR, NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?
Alcohol-wise we only serve our beer, a local cider and some local wines. We try to keep on hand some non-alcoholic sodas/seltzers as well as water and coffee/tea/cocoa. We usually have a couple NA canned beer options from Athletic Brewing available.
DO YOU MAKE GLUTEN-FREE BEER?
We currently do not produce any gluten-free brews. We usually have a gluten-free canned option available from either Omission Brewing or Atheltic Brewing.
I HEARD/READ YOUR BAR WAS SMALL, BUT HOW SMALL?
When we say our bar is tiny we mean it! But it just makes for a more entertaining and intimate atmosphere, where you are highly likely to meet new people, make new friends and have great conversations! The bar seats 6-7 and there is a mini-bar behind it that seats/stands another 5-6. We also have a second guest space behind our main bar that can be reached by the next doorway down the hall. It’s not much bigger than our first space, but don't be shy! Squeeze on in and have fun with us, though if you are claustrophobic we understand. Perhaps you can catch us at a less busy time.…..and yes, if you have seen photos of our tasting room, pictures can be deceiving, sometimes the photos make it look bigger than it is! We also have to-go options of bottles, cans, and growlers!
AT LEAST YOU HAVE THE GIANT BEER GARDEN/PATIO?
We wish! We are not the beer garden patio! We are attached to it, so come inside the hallway off the patio. The beer garden belongs to LOGE hotel. We cannot provide direct open-container beer service to the patio due to licensing restrictions.
CAN I TAKE BEER OUTSIDE TO SIT IN THE BEER GARDEN/PATIO?
Our license for open container service only covers our tasting room inside. The patio is not part of the brewery. However, we do have plenty of to-go options and the LOGE hotel usually considers the patio a lounge area and doesn’t mind guests using it for to-go items, so long as it is not a concert/event night. So if our tasting room doesn’t have enough space for you, consider grabbing a closed mason jar to-go (which will make the Liquor Man happy) and then enjoy LOGE’s patio afterwards! If LOGE is running a patio event, then we cannot offer to-go jars to the patio, but LOGE usually buys kegs from us to provide their own service for event nights, so just ask what’s on tap from Doghaus!
CAN WE DRINK IN THE HALLWAY BY YOUR TASTING ROOM?
Nope. The hallway is a neutral, public, unlicensed zone allowing access to Doghaus Brewery and access to the restrooms and hotel elevator. Our license only covers the inside of our tasting room and not the hallway!
IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN TAKE BEER OUT OF YOUR BAR?
The only way you can take our beer out of our tasting room is via a “growler fill”, which is legally defined as a closed container less than 4 gallons. We offer standard 64-oz size growlers to-go as well as a variety of 12oz - 22oz bottles, cans, and mason jars.
CAN I DRINK MY GROWLERS/BOTTLES/cans ETC. IN THE STREET?
Sadly, Leavenworth is not quite hip enough yet to allow public alcohol consumption, like some places such as Las Vegas, Austin, New Orleans. Drinking in public is still illegal!
WHERE IS THE BREWERY-DOG?!
The founder's dog, De De the Weimaraner, has a revered poster upon our wall and he has a revered spot in our hearts for all time! De De occasionally makes appearances when his family comes to visit us. Former Owner/Brewer Aaron had a Weimaraner by the name of Koda, whom was our Pawtender for a couple years. After Koda’s passing, Aaron got a new Weim named Luna whom was the mascot until Aaron retired in 2023. The newest mascot is Farrah, whom belongs to our Friday bartender Jill. Owner/Brewer Joel doesn't have a dog yet, but he hopes to someday!
DO YOU BOTTLE OR CAN YOUR BEER?
We do not currently bottle or can for retail sales/distribution at stores. We can do on-site growlers, cans, and bottles to go. Growlers are 64oz, cans are 16oz and bottles are 12oz-22oz depending on stock. We can also fill your growler! And we accept empty beer bottles for reuse.
IF YOU DON'T DISTRIBUTE BOTTLES OR CANS, WHAT ABOUT KEGS? DO YOU DISTRIBUTE TO (MY AREA)?
We DO distribute kegs for draft service at local restaurants and bars. We currently self-distribute, so our distribution range is generally limited to the Leavenworth/Wenatchee area.
DO YOU DO (RANDOM) FESTIVAL?
We try to hit up several festivals throughout the year! We can't feasibly make it to every one and with our current small staff, small size, and low capital, we cannot afford to do every festival as different ones provide different repayment schemes and thus currently some of them are just not economically viable for us. But please ask us anyways about a particular one and we will tell you if we have attended or will attend it! And maybe you know a good one we are not yet familiar with and we can research the possibility!
I WOULD LOVE SOME DOGHAUS APPAREL/SOUVENIRS, BECAUSE I LOVE DOGS AND I LOVE BEER! GOT ANYTHING LIKE THAT?
We sure do! We have apparel, glassware and trinkets! You can get all these things at our bar, or optionally order online via our Square store.
